Taiwan’s Nada Holdings and Dragami Games ignited chainsaw sparks on Thursday with plans to resurrect the Lollipop Chainsaw universe through explosive cross-industry expansion. The IP investment specialists at Nada will fuel multi-platform projects breathing new fire into the cult-classic zombie-slaying franchise.
Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda had previously snagged the dormant IP from Kadokawa Games in July 2022 via a triumphant Twitter announcement where he revealed Warner Bros. would back the revival. Like a phoenix rising from corporate limbo, Dragami emerged from Kadokawa’s restructuring that same year, with Yasuda leading the charge.

The remastered Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP already carved its bloody path to success, selling over 200,000 copies since its accelerated September 2024 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. February 2025 saw the game receive fresh flesh with a content update featuring the coveted “Goth Outfit” and snapshot-friendly Photo Mode.
The original 2012 hack-and-slash romp—a brainchild of Suda51 and James Gunn—had PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players decapitating zombies to a punk soundtrack. Now, with Nada’s IP expertise and Dragami’s creative vision, Juliet Starling’s chainsaw may soon rev beyond gaming screens.
