Digital sunbeams hit Japanese Switch screens in July 2021
Crunchyroll cracked open a summer surprise today, revealing through a video announcement that Millenium Kitchen’s Shin-Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation -The Endless Seven-Day Journey- will soon bask in the glow of mobile screens via their Game Vault. The digital playground remains coy about its exact arrival, simply whispering “coming soon.”
Neos previously unleashed this multilingual escapade across Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Steam) in August 2022, packing English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese suitcases. Japan’s PS4 adventurers set sail simultaneously, while Switch owners had already been soaking in its pixelated sunshine since July 2021.
Kaz Ayabe, the architect behind the Boku no Natsuyasumi summer memories, crafts another sandbox of nostalgia here. The Nobara family stumbles upon quirky professors and Kumamoto’s charm, blending everyday magic with childlike wonder.
This marks Crunchyroll’s second summer fling with Shin-Chan, following their May 21 addition of Shiro and the Coal Town to their gaming treasure chest.
