Nada Holdings in Taiwan dropped electrifying news: the Lollipop Chainsaw universe is expanding with a fresh game and anime incarnation. Partnering with Dragami Games, Nada promises this revival won’t bend to rigid DEI mandates, though specifics remain mysterious as a locked treasure chest.
Original architects from the cult classic will return to forge this new adventure. The companies vow their blueprint is etched in gamer desires, sculpted by fan whispers across forums and social chatter.
Dragami Games’ CEO Yoshimi Yasuda—once steering Kadokawa Games—snatched the IP in July 2022 when it languished in corporate purgatory. His Twitter (now X) proclamation revealed Warner Bros. joining as backer in this undead renaissance.
Kadokawa spun off Dragami in May 2022, with Yasuda and director Satoshi Fuyuno at the helm. The severed limb grew new muscle swiftly.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP—once billed as a remake, now polished as a remaster—sliced onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC in September 2024, leaping ahead of schedule. By January, it had chewed through 200K sales globally. February’s free update served a Goth Outfit (formerly store-exclusive bling) and Photo Mode for vanity slayers.
The 2012 original—born from the twisted minds of Suda51 and James Gunn—let players chainsaw-dance through zombie hordes on PS3 and Xbox 360. Grasshopper Manufacture built it; Kadokawa and Warner Bros. unleashed it.
