The rugby-themed manga Rugby Rumble (Saikyō no Uta), created by Daisuke Miyata, is approaching its final moments. The artist recently confirmed that the series will conclude in just three more chapters, marking the end of an intense journey on the field.

Initially released in September 2023 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform, Rugby Rumble follows Rikuzen High’s rugby team, once overshadowed by the legacy of the famed Perfect Squad—Japan’s under-15 world champions. Everything changes when Kinzan Yamada, a spirited first-year student with no prior rugby experience, joins the squad, shaking up their complacent attitude. His boundless energy forces the team to confront their own potential, setting the stage for an underdog story that blends passion, rivalry, and grueling competition.

Published digitally in English through MANGA Plus, the series faced an unexpected challenge early on when fans criticized its initial AI-assisted lettering. The team responded swiftly, refining the presentation with improved typesetting and crediting translator Mei Amaki alongside other localization experts. The latest chapters highlight Studio Mikan’s involvement in both translation and design.

The final physical volumes are also on the horizon, with the sixth book arriving in September and the seventh set for October. As the manga prepares for its last plays, fans can expect a climactic sendoff for Kinzan and his teammates.
