The latest issue of Kodansha’s Be Love magazine has disclosed that the collaborative manga artists Peach-Pit will wrap up their series “My Name is Sei Shōnagon” in the forthcoming issue on May 1.

Peach-Pit debuted the manga with its initial two chapters in the magazine back in August 2019. Kodansha released the eighth volume of the manga on January 12.

The narrative of the manga revolves around the renowned Heian-era poet and author of The Pillow Book, Sei Shōnagon, delving into the intricacies of court life during the Heian period.

In October, Kodansha announced that Peach-Pit would commence a sequel to their “Shugo Chara!” manga in the publisher’s Nakayoshi magazine in the summer of 2024.

Previously, Peach-Pit concluded “Nishina Tesura Can’t Find It,” the “second season” of their “Nishina Tesura” manga series, in May 2018.

The duo initiated their “Rozen Maiden 0” manga series in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine in February 2016, concluding it in March 2019. The original “Rozen Maiden” manga series had a run from 2002 to 2007 in Gentosha’s Monthly Comic Birz magazine and continued in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from 2008 to 2014.

Peach-Pit’s manga series “DearS” and “Rozen Maiden” were published in North America by Tokyopop, while Del Rey and Kodansha handled the publication of “Shugo Chara!” along with its spin-offs “Shugo Chara-chan!” and “Shugo Chara! Encore!” Yen Press took charge of publishing their “Zombie-Loan” manga. All of these franchises have inspired television anime adaptations.
