The latest installment in the Digimon franchise, Digimon Beatbreak, is set to debut on October 5. Fans can get a sneak peek of what’s to come with the final trailer, which was released on Saturday. The trailer features the opening theme song “Mad Pulse” by MADKID, setting the tone for the upcoming series.
The anime will air on Fuji TV and other channels, marking the next chapter in the beloved franchise. The story revolves around “e-Pulse,” an energy source derived from human thoughts and emotions, which powers the AI support device “Sapotama.” However, this technological advancement brings with it the emergence of terrifying monsters. Digimon, the digital creatures, evolve by consuming e-Pulse, and the series follows Tomoro Tenma as he encounters Gekkomon, a Digimon that appears from his Sapotama. Together with Kyo Sawashiro and other members of the bounty hunting team “Glowing Dawn,” Tomoro embarks on an extraordinary journey.
Miyu Irino voices Tomoro Tenma, while Megumi Han brings Gekkomon to life. The series is directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto, known for his work on One Piece and One Piece Film Gold. Ryota Yamaguchi handles series composition, and Takahiro Kojima is the character designer. Kenji Watanabe and Akihiro Asanuma are credited for Digimon design, with Ayaka Kami serving as the art director and Sayoko Yokoyama as the color designer. Yusuke Osone is the CG director, Tomoyuki Ishiyama the compositing director, and Eiichi Nishimura the editor. Arisa Okehazama composes the music, with production credits going to Fuji TV, Yomiko Advertising, and Toei Animation.
The Digimon franchise has a rich history, with the first television series, Digimon Adventure, premiering in 1999. This was followed by Digimon Adventure 02 in 2000-2001, Digimon Frontier in 2002-2003, and most recently, Digimon Ghost Game, which aired from October 2021 to March 2023.
