The anime, originally slated for release in 2025, has been pushed back to 2026 due to production-related issues. Despite this delay, fans can look forward to the series streaming on Crunchyroll in various regions, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS.

The voice cast includes Chiaki Kobayashi as Okuto Nakamura and Yuki Sakakihara as Aiki Hirose. Additionally, Kappei Yamaguchi and Junko Takeuchi will lend their voices to characters yet to be revealed. Both Yamaguchi and Takeuchi have previously starred in an audio drama adaptation of the manga.

Aoi Umeki, known for her work on “Pop Team Epic,” is at the helm as the director, scriptwriter, and character designer. The animation is being handled by Drive, with Naoki Yoshibe serving as the assistant director. Yasuko Aoki, from Studio Monado, is overseeing the series scripts, while Ayana Tsujita is composing the music.

The original manga, “Go for It, Nakamura!,” first appeared as a short in the magazine “Opera” in December 2014. It began regular serialization in June 2015, with Akaneshinsha publishing a compiled volume in May 2017. Seven Seas licensed the romantic comedy manga, which follows the story of Nakamura, a shy boy who falls in love at first sight with his classmate Hirose but struggles to make a good impression.

Syundei launched a sequel titled “Go for It Again, Nakamura!” in “Opera” in June 2017. Akaneshinsha published the manga’s volume in August 2021, and Seven Seas released the sequel.
