The anime adaptation will be helmed by Tomoe Makino, known for her work on “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai” and “Woodpecker Detective’s Office.” She will be directing the series at Felix Film, with Naoki Murata serving as the assistant director. Murata has previously worked on notable projects such as “Planet With,” “Teasing Master Takagi-san,” and “Sasaki and Miyano.”

The scriptwriting duties will be overseen by Deko Akao, who has contributed to series like “Higehiro,” “Komi Can’t Communicate,” and “Flying Witch.” Character designs will be handled by Satomi Kurita, whose previous works include “Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start With Magical Tools” and “Princess Connect! Re:Dive.” The music for the series will be composed by Kenichiro Suehiro, known for his work on “Golden Kamuy” and the “Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-” franchises. Ryōsuke Naya will serve as the sound director, bringing his expertise from projects like “Spy Classroom” and “Summer Pockets.”

Seven Seas is responsible for releasing the light novel series and the main manga adaptation in English. The story follows Fia’s journey as she navigates her dual identities and the challenges that come with them. The light novels, published by Earth Star Entertainment, have been a massive success, ranking second in the “Tankōbon” and Novel rankings in the 2025 edition of “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” guidebook. The series has also maintained its popularity, ranking second in the 2024 edition as well.

The manga adaptation of the novels, launched by Mahito Aobe in “Comic Earth Star” in November 2019, has further expanded the franchise’s reach. Additionally, Seven Seas is releasing the prequel light novels, “A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO,” in English. The prequel novels, published by Earth Star Entertainment, have also seen a manga adaptation by Shiina, which began in October 2023.
