The highly anticipated television anime adaptation of the popular game Needy Streamer Overload has revealed exciting new details. The official website for the anime, based on the game by WSS Playground and Xemono, announced the cast members for Karamazov, a new streamer unit created exclusively for the series. This announcement came on Saturday, along with the news that the anime will have a theatrical screening run starting on March 6, before its television premiere in April 2026. The staff also unveiled the anime’s third key visual.
The cast of Karamazov will bring the characters to life, and fans can look forward to seeing them in action. A compilation of the television anime’s episodes will be shown at Theatre Shinjuku in Tokyo and Theatre Umeda in Osaka under the title Needy Girl Overdose -Overture- on March 6.
The anime is set to premiere on television in April 2026. WSS Playground is credited with the original work, and Masaoki Nakajima, known for his work on New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT, Blue Archive The Animation, and Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!, is directing the anime at Yostar Pictures. The game’s scenario writer, nyalra, is responsible for the original idea, scenario, and supervision. The original character design is by Ohisashiburi, with Kenji Saikai, Akari Takei, and Umito Shimizu serving as the main character designers.
Additional staff members include writers and animators who have contributed to various notable projects. Writer nyalra provided a statement in November, revealing that WSS Playground had removed him from the management and promotion of the television anime. He also mentioned that he had not yet received full compensation for his work, but his legal representative is handling the matter.
Aniplex describes the game as follows: NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE is a multi-ending adventure game that depicts 30 days in the life of a girl with an intense desire for validation who aims to become the ultimate streamer, with the support of “P”. The game was released simultaneously in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean on PC via Steam in January 2022, with over 3 million downloads. It is also available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Itaru Bonnoki, known for his work on The Vampire Dies in No Time, launched a manga adaptation of the game titled Needy Girl Overdose: Run with My Sick on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website in March 2023.
