A Peek into the Anime

“The working girls manga,” often considered a heartfelt tale within the genres, is centered around Nana Futami, a budding shojo manga artist. Despite occasionally battling hallucinations due to what she affectionately dubs an occupational hazard, Futami perseveres with the steady support of her editor, Kaede Sato, and her assistant, Mizuki Hazama.

First introduced as a one-shot in Kodansha’s Kiss magazine back in February 2019, “Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu” commenced serialization in May 2019 on Kodansha’s Comic Days app and website. By September 19th, fans can look forward to the release of the manga’s 13th volume.
