Fans of the heartwarming anime “The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten” have something to look forward to. The official website for the television anime adaptation of Saekisan’s light novel series has released the second promotional video and teaser visual for the upcoming second season. This exciting announcement was made on “Angel’s Day,” October 4, which cleverly plays on the Japanese word for angel, “tenshi.”

The new promotional video offers a tantalizing glimpse into what viewers can expect from the second season. The teaser visual complements the video perfectly, setting the stage for the continuation of Amane and Mahiru’s endearing relationship.

The second season will be helmed by a talented team. Chihiro Kumano, known for her work on “The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei,” will direct the season at project No.9, taking over from Li Hua Wang. Keiichirō Ōchi, who previously worked on “Adachi and Shimamura” and “The Quintessential Quintuplets,” will be in charge of the series scripts. Takayuki Noguchi, who adapted the original character designs for animation in the first season, will return for the second. Moe Hyūga, known for her work on “O Maidens in Your Savage Season” and “Steins;Gate 0,” will compose the music.

The second season is set to premiere next April, continuing the story of Amane and Mahiru’s blossoming relationship. The first season premiered on Tokyo MX in January 2023 and also aired on BS NTV and AT-X. The anime was streamed as it aired by Crunchyroll.

Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English, describing the romantic comedy as follows:

Kenichi Imaizumi supervised the first season at project No.9, and Li Hua Wang directed it. Saekisan began serializing the story on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website in December 2018. SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint began publishing the story in print volumes with illustrations by Hanekoto in June 2019. A manga adaptation by Suzu Yūki launched on the Manga UP! service in January 2022. Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga.
