Exciting News: “Saijo no Osewa” Light Novel Series to Get an Anime Adaptation

Fans of heartwarming and unique stories are in for a treat! The official X/Twitter account for Hobby Japan’s HJ Bunko label has revealed that the light novel series “Saijo no Osewa” is set to receive an anime adaptation. This announcement has sparked excitement among readers who have been captivated by the series’ charming narrative and endearing characters.

The first volume of “Saijo no Osewa” was published by HJ Bunko in May 2021, and the 11th volume is scheduled for release on October 31. The series has also gained popularity through its manga adaptation, which launched on Hobby Japan’s Fire Cross website in September 2021. The fourth manga volume was published on July 1, with the fifth volume set to hit the shelves on December 1.

The Spain-based company Monogatari Novels announced in October 2023 that it had secured the rights to release the light novel series in English under the title “Rich Girl Caretaker: I’m Secretly the Caregiver of the Most Popular Girl in This Rich Kid School.” Amazon currently lists the first English volume for shipment on March 3, 2026. However, due to some issues with customs resulting from new tariffs, the release dates for their titles are currently undetermined. The company’s website is not currently accessible.

A high school boy, Itsuki Tomonari, gets involved in a kidnapping and ends up taking care of Hinako Konohana, a young lady from one of Japan’s largest conglomerates. However, due to family reasons, Hinako has to play the role of the “perfect young lady” at school. Wanting to protect her, Itsuki takes care of her in a very caring manner.
