The exciting world of anime continues to expand with fresh announcements. The official website for the upcoming television adaptation of Suisei’s light novel series Yūsha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Itanode, Kokuhaku Shite Mita, or There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her, and the manga adaptation by Kairi recently introduced two new cast members.

The story kicks off with Yūki, a man who finds himself reincarnated into a fantastical world. Unlike typical reincarnation tales, Yūki doesn’t become a hero or a demon lord but rather an underling of the demon lord. When a hero’s party attacks the demon lord’s castle, Yūki’s path crosses with Cecilia, a priestess in the hero’s party, and he finds himself smitten at first sight.
The light novel series started its journey on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2013. Meanwhile, the manga adaptation by Kairi began serialization on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website in 2021, with the 12th volume recently hitting the shelves.
The production team behind this anime is nothing short of impressive. Yasutaka Yamamoto, known for his work on Medalist and Servant Service, is at the helm as the chief director. Tomonori Mine, who directed Isekai Onsen Paradise, is steering the ship at Gekkō. The scripts are being penned by Yukie Sugawara, who has worked on Overlord and No Guns Life.
Amidst the creative talent, Mina Ōsawa is handling the character designs, adapting La-na’s original work for the animation. The music will be composed by the renowned Satoru Kōsaki and the band MONACA. Lastly, Ryō Aizawa will serve as the producer from Starry Cube.
