The team behind the television adaptation of Taiyo Kuzumi’s Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray manga, which is part of Cygames’ Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise, unveiled the opening theme song, main promotional video, and key visual for its second cours on Sunday.
The video features a preview of the opening theme song “Spurt Syndromer” performed by the rock band 10-FEET.

The second cours is set to debut on October 5. It will be available on the It’s Anime FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus in North America, in addition to various other platforms.
The anime is currently streaming in select areas on Amazon Prime Video and on the It’s Anime YouTube channel, which includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia. The YouTube stream is also accessible in New Zealand and parts of Europe and the Middle East. Additionally, the anime can be viewed on Anime Onegai in Central and South America, and on ADN in several European countries.
10-FEET will be performing the opening theme song “Spurt Syndrome” for the second cours.
The anime first aired on April 6 on TBS and its affiliates, with a total of two cours and a break in between.
Takehiro Miura, known for his work on Fate/Apocrypha and Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night, is directing the anime at Cygames. Aki Kindaichi is handling the series composition, while Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki, who worked on The Seven Deadly Sins, are designing the characters. Masafumi Sugiura, who previously worked on Uma Musume Pretty Derby, is credited for the scripts. Junnosuke Itล is the manga planner.
The manga by Kuzumi launched in Weekly Young Jump in June 2020. Shueisha published the manga’s 21st compiled book volume on September 19. The manga went on hiatus on June 5 to prepare for its final arc and returned on July 17. The story revolves around Oguri Cap as the protagonist.
The Uma Musume franchise includes three previous TV anime seasons, the Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Road to the Top net anime, and the Umayon spinoff television anime. Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Shinjidai no Tobira, a new anime film in the franchise, opened in May 2024.
The Uma Musume Pretty Derby game was released in February 2021 for iOS and Android. Initially scheduled for a winter 2018 release, it was delayed to enhance the game’s quality. The game was also made available on PC via DMM Games in March 2021. The English version of the game launched on June 26 for iOS and Android devices.
