Fruits Zipper Unveils Exciting Shin-chan Theme Song
The latest update from the world of anime brings exciting news for fans of the long-running series, Crayon Shin-chan. Idol group, Fruits Zipper, has unveiled their latest track, “Hacha Mecha Wacha life!,” which will serve as the new theme song for the beloved anime, starting October 4.
This latest announcement comes as the anime continues to engage audiences with fresh content. Previously, in 2020, another legendary group, Ketsumeishi, delivered their hit song, “Superstar,” as the anime’s opening theme. Fans of the anime will recall the impactful performance, which set the tone for numerous episodes over the years.
Since its premiere in April 1992, Crayon Shin-chan has become a staple on television for many viewers. The series airs every Saturday at 4:30 p.m. JST on TV Asahi and continues to maintain a loyal fanbase both in Japan and internationally. The movie quickly garnered attention, selling 363,000 tickets and amassing over 450 million yen ($3.07 million USD) in its opening weekend. This box office triumph continued into the following days, with ticket sales soaring to 516,000 and earnings spiking to 633 million yen ($4.33 million USD).
The Japan release also tagged along with the Mountain Day holiday. As the 32nd 2D animated film in the series, it continues the tradition of high-quality storytelling and animation that fans have come to expect from the franchise.
