Exciting News: “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” Anime Special Set for March 2026
Fans of the popular light novel series are in for a treat as a new anime special is on the horizon. During the “Fantasia Bunko Hōsōkyoku Aki no Dai Kanshasai” livestream event, Kadokawa revealed that the anime special based on Miku and illustrator Rein Kuwashima’s “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” will premiere at the end of March 2026.
The event also showcased a teaser visual and character setting images for Yuty (uniform version) and Ken Sei (Fist Saint).

The returning cast for the television special includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yūya Tenjō, Akari Kitō as Kaori Hōjō, and Kaori Maeda as Lexia von Arcelia.

The special will be directed by Shin Itagaki, who also helmed the first anime series, at Millepensee. Hiromi Kimura will return to design the characters, and UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS will handle the planning and production.
The first season of “I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World” premiered in April 2023 and consisted of 13 episodes. The series was streamed as it aired, and an English dub was also released.
Yen Press is releasing the light novels and manga adaptation in English. The story follows a bullied boy who discovers a portal to another world, granting him cheat skills and the ability to travel between realities. The narrative explores whether this class loser can turn his life around.
The book franchise has sold 4 million copies, with the 19th light novel volume released on October 18. The manga’s sixth volume shipped in July 2024.
The franchise also includes spinoff novel series and a browser game titled “Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musōsuru – Level Up wa Jinsei o Kaeta: Parallel Universe.” The MMORPG launched worldwide in July 2024 on the G123 platform, available in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. The game is free to play with optional in-game purchases.
