The universe of Jujutsu Kaisen is expanding dramatically. Fans were treated to an exciting glimpse into the future during the livestreamed fifth anniversary special of the series. The event premiered a thrilling teaser trailer for the third season. This season is titled “The Culling Game Part 1” and it will make its debut in January 2026.
Additionally, movie enthusiasts will get a special treat. A compilation film titled “Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins” will premiere in Japanese theaters on November 7. This film will present the highlights of the second season’s “Shibuya Incident” storyline, along with the first two episodes of the upcoming third season. Fans can also look forward to participating in an exhibition that will be held in Ikebukuro Sunshine City complex in Tokyo from December 5 to December 29, before moving on to other cities.

Fans have been eagerly following the franchise ever since the first season premiered in October 2020, which included 24 compelling episodes.
Later, in December 2021, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime film hit theaters in Japan. It received global attention when it opened in the United States and Canada in March 2022, available with both subtitles and an English dub.
The second season kicked off on July 6, 2023, premiering on various channels, including MBS and TBS, alongside 28 affiliated channels. It was made available for viewers in different regions on North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The second season’s run was lengthy, encompassing two cours for a continuous half-year airtime. This phase of the series adapted the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc and the “Shibuya Incident” arc from the original manga by Gege Akutami. The “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc aired from July 6 through August 3, 2023. Following this, two compilation episodes aired on August 10 and 17, 2023. The “Shibuya Incident” arc then began on August 31 and included 18 episodes.
Gege Akutami’s manga first hit the shelves in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. It is being published digitally and in print by Viz Media, while Shueisha offers the manga on their MANGA Plus service.
