The anime premiered on April 6 and airs every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo and its associated networks. The series is set to run for an entire year, divided into four consecutive parts.
The official YouTube channel for the anime briefly streamed the first two episodes with English subtitles earlier this month. However, these videos were removed just a few days later due to allegations that the subtitles were generated using machine translation.
Princession Orchestra is set in the mystical land of Alicepia, a country that has existed since ancient times. The Alicepians are known for their joyful nature, but their peace is disrupted by the sudden appearance of mysterious monsters called Jamaock. The story revolves around the “princesses” who, despite the danger, never forget the songs in their hearts.
Unlike many other anime series that use pre-recorded songs during battle scenes, Princession Orchestra features the voice cast members singing new renditions of songs in each episode’s recording sessions. This unique approach adds a fresh layer of authenticity to the series.
The project is a collaboration between King Records and ARIA entertainment’s new content production brand UNISON, with sponsorship from Takara Tomy. Akifumi Kaneko, known for his work on the Symphogear franchise, is credited with the original plan. Noriyasu Agematsu of Elements Garden serves as the executive producer. Shin Onuma, who has directed series like Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya and BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense, is at the helm of directing the anime at SILVER LINK. Manta Aisora, the original creator of Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!, is overseeing the series scripts. Yukiko Akiyama, known for her work on Yumeiro Pรขtissiรจre and Isuca, is designing the characters for animation based on Mari Shimazaki’s original designs. Elements Garden is composing the music for the series.
The project is designed to appeal to both children and adults, encompassing anime, music, and toys.
