Exciting News: Kotobuki Joins the Cast of Kamiina Botan Anime
The official X/Twitter account for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Hey’s manga “Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana” (Botan Kamiina, Her Drunken Appearance Is Like a Lily Flower) has revealed some thrilling updates. On Friday, it was announced that Minako Kotobuki will voice the character Kanade Gujล. Alongside this exciting news, a character trailer and visual for Kanade were unveiled.

The production team is rolling out new cast members every Friday for the next six weeks, keeping fans eagerly anticipating each reveal. The anime is set to premiere in April 2026.
Sayumi Suzushiro will take on the lead role of Botan, the main character. The cast also features Yoshino Aoyama as Ibuki Tomino.
The anime is being directed by Takashi Sakuma at Soigne, with Shuntarล Tozawa serving as the assistant director. Character designs are handled by Kou Yoshinari, while Yลซsuke Matsuo and Miyachi are the main animators. Yลko Yonaiyama is in charge of the series scripts, and Kana Hashiguchi is composing the music.
The manga, which the anime is based on, follows Botan Kamiina, a 20-year-old college freshman who becomes more daring and says surprising things when she drinks. Hey launched the manga on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website in March 2019. The first compiled book volume was published in January 2020, and the sixth volume was released on March 18.
