Love Game Anime Cast, Crew, and April 2026 Release Announced

The anime will star Kaito Ishikawa as Yukiya Asagi and Miku Itō as Miku Sakura. These talented voice actors are set to bring the beloved characters to life, promising an engaging and heartwarming experience for viewers.

The creative team behind the anime is equally impressive. Azuma Tani, known for his work on “Thermae Romae,” “Insufficient Direction,” and “Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei!” will be directing the series at Felix Film. Keiichirō Ōchi, who has worked on “Girlfriend, Girlfriend” and “Go, Go, Loser Ranger!” will be handling the scripts. Character designs will be crafted by Yūki Fukuchi, who previously worked on “Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement” and “Plunderer.” The music will be composed by Akito Matsuda, renowned for his work on the “Sound! Euphonium” franchise and the “Non Non Biyori” franchise.

The manga, which serves as the foundation for the anime, follows the story of Yukiya, a former quiet nerd who undergoes a dramatic transformation in high school. His goal? To win the heart of his best friend, Miku, using tactics inspired by her favorite shojo manga. The manga, originally launched on the Sunday Webry website in 2021, has been gaining traction with its unique storyline and engaging characters. The seventh volume was published by Shogakukan on June 18, while Viz Media released the sixth volume in English on May 13. Fans of Domoto’s previous works, such as “Necromance” and the manga adaptation of “Girlish Number,” will find familiar charm and creativity in “I Want to End This Love Game.”
