The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie to Hit Theaters Worldwide
Fans of the captivating series “The Dangers in My Heart” have reason to celebrate. TV Asahi recently announced that “The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie,” a compilation film of the popular television anime, will be released in theaters across multiple countries. This exciting news comes as the character Kana Ichikawa celebrates her birthday.
The film will grace the screens in the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile, Peru, and additional Central American territories, among other regions. TV Asahi will provide more details about ticket sales, release dates, and additional territories at a later date.
The announcement, accompanied by a special video and an image, marks a significant milestone for the series. The video and image below are a tribute to Kana Ichikawa’s birthday, adding a personal touch to the global release.

The film is set to open in Japan on February 13, 2026. TV Asahi and HIDIVE gave fans a sneak peek of the movie at Anime Expo on July 4. This special screening allowed attendees to get a taste of what’s to come.
The movie will feature new footage and will continue the story of Kyลtarล and Anna beyond the series finale, offering fans more of the beloved characters and their adventures.
The first season of the anime premiered on TV Asahi and its affiliates in the “NUMAnimation” programming block in April 2023. HIDIVE streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Netflix made it available in many countries outside the U.S. and Canada.
The second season premiered in Japan in January 2024. HIDIVE streamed the second season as it aired and also provided an English dub, making it accessible to a global audience.
In addition to the main series, the manga’s “Twi-Yaba” spinoff also received an anime adaptation, which premiered in December 2023.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga, which tells the story of Ichikawa Kyลtarล, a boy who believes he is the protagonist of a psychological thriller. Kyลtarล spends his days plotting ways to disrupt his classmates’ lives and pining after Anna Yamada, the class idol. However, Kyลtarล’s not as troubled as he seems, and Anna has her own quirks.
The manga, originally launched in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shลnen Champion magazine in March 2018, has since moved to the Manga Cross website. The 12th compiled book volume was published on June 6, with the 13th volume set to release on January 8. Seven Seas Entertainment published the 11th volume on August 5.
A light novel adaptation, written by Kota Nozomi and illustrated by Norio Sakurai and sune, was released in Japan in September 2024. Additionally, a new manga spinoff titled “The Dangers in My Heart: A Romantic Comedy Will Not Start” launched on the Champion Cross manga website on July 22. This spinoff focuses on Kyลtarล Ichikawa’s older sister, Kana.
