The upcoming anime adaptation of the manga “Alma-chan Wants to Have a Family!” by Nanateru has unveiled three new cast members. The announcement was made on Saturday, revealing the voices behind key characters in the series.
The anime will premiere on October 5 on the AT-X channel at 11:00 p.m. JST (10:00 a.m. EDT) and will be available on various streaming services in Japan at 11:30 p.m. JST (10:30 a.m. EDT). It will also air on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and BS Asahi channels. Internationally, Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide, excluding Japan and mainland China, under the title “Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!”.
The series is directed by Yasuhiro Minami, known for his work on “Gintama” and “Turn A Gundam”. Yukie Sugawara, who has overseen scripts for “Overlord” and “Kino’s Journey – The Beautiful World”, is in charge of the series scripts. Character designs are handled by Mika Yamamoto, who has worked on “ClassicaLoid” and “Tiger & Bunny 2”. The opening theme song, “Dramatic Overlay”, is performed by ZAQ, while the ending theme, “Arifuretetai” (I Want to Be Ordinary), is performed by KAF.
The comedy manga centers around Alma, a super high-performance girl-type weapon, and the two genius scientists Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane, who created her. The original manga ran on Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype website and has three volumes, with the third volume published in March 2024. A new manga, titled “Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai Z”, launched in July 2024 and is ongoing. The first volume shipped on April 25, and the second volume will ship on October 10.
The newly announced cast members, along with the previously revealed staff, promise an exciting and entertaining adaptation of the popular manga.
