Exciting New Cast Members Announced for The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter Anime
Kadokawa has revealed four additional voice actors for the upcoming anime adaptation of Yatsuki Wakatsu’s and Kikka Ohashi’s popular boys-love light novel series, The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter. The announcement was made on Friday, expanding the cast of this highly anticipated series.
Tomohiro Yamaguchi will voice Julius, the eldest prince of the Romany Kingdom. Yamaguchi is known for his versatile performances and will bring depth to the character of Julius.
Yuna Kamakura will portray Yua Shiraishi, a high school girl who is summoned to another world as a saint. Kamakura’s ability to capture the essence of youthful innocence will undoubtedly shine in this role.
Takaaki Torashima will voice Ist, the deputy head of magic at the royal court. Torashima’s experience in voicing authoritative figures will add a layer of authenticity to Ist’s character.
Yลซki Ono will bring to life Siegvold, a priest working at a church in the capital. Ono’s expressive voice acting will ensure that Siegvold’s character is both compelling and relatable.

Yen Press is releasing both the light novel series and the manga adaptation in English. The story follows Seiichiro, a hardworking individual who finds himself in a fantasy world due to a strange Saint-Summoning Ritual. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Aresh, the Captain of the Knights, leading him to question his priorities and desires. The tale explores themes of love, self-discovery, and the complexities of human relationships.
The previously announced cast includes Kent Itล as Seiichiro Kondล, Tomoaki Maeno as Aresh Indrak, Seiichirล Yamashita as Norbert, and Hiroki Tลchi as Kamil.
Shinji Ishihara is directing the anime at Studio DEEN, with Yoshiko Nakamura handling the series composition. The duo has previously collaborated on notable BL anime such as Sasaki and Miyano, Super Lovers, and Tadaima, Okaeri. Akira Yamada serves as the assistant director, while Maki Fujii, who worked with Ishihara and Nakamura on Sasaki and Miyano, is the character designer. Megumi ลhashi is composing the music, and Nippon Columbia is producing it.
The anime is set to premiere in January 2026. Yatsuki launched the light novel series in February 2019, with the third volume released in September 2021. The manga adaptation began on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in March 2020 and will see its seventh volume published on October 31. The manga and novels have achieved a combined circulation of 1.4 million copies.
