New Voice Actor Joins Ugoku! Neko Mukashi Banashi Anime Cast

The upcoming web anime series “Ugoku! Neko Mukashi Banashi” is set to captivate audiences with its unique twist on classic folktales. This charming adaptation of Pandania’s popular four-panel manga, “Neko Mukashi Banashi,” will bring a fresh perspective to timeless stories by introducing cats into the mix.

The latest addition to the voice cast is Yujiro Shirakawa, a member of the boy band Junretsu. Shirakawa will join the series as a guest voice actor, adding his talent to the already impressive lineup. Previously, Daisuke Sakuma from the idol group Snow Man was announced as another guest voice actor, further enhancing the star power of the show.

The anime will make its debut on October 15 at 8:00 p.m. JST on its official YouTube channel. New episodes will be released every Wednesday, ensuring that viewers can enjoy a steady stream of whimsical content.

The series will be directed by Kazumi Nonaka, known for her work on “Hana Kappa,” “Mameushi-kun,” and “Happy Happy Clover.” The scripts will be handled by Kenichi Yamashita, who has contributed to “Hensuki,” “MF Ghost,” and “The Tale of Outcasts.” Character designs will be created by Narumi Shimoji, whose previous works include “Charanpo Land no Bouken” and “Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan.”

“Ugoku! Neko Mukashi Banashi” promises to be a delightful blend of humor and nostalgia, reimagining children’s stories from around the world with a feline twist. The manga, which has already seen three volumes published by Kadokawa, will have its fourth volume, “Yo! Neko Mukashi Banashi,” released on October 16.

Pandania, the creator of the manga, is renowned for her cat-themed works, including “Cats With Jobs,” “The Evil Secret Society of Cats,” “Yokai Cats,” and “Monster Cats.” These manga have been translated into English by Seven Seas Entertainment, making them accessible to a global audience.

Dark Horse Comics is also expanding Pandania’s reach by releasing “Cthulhu Cat” in English, further cementing her status as a beloved creator in the manga world.

The series is produced by Kadokawa, a company known for its high-quality anime productions. With such a talented team behind it, “Ugoku! Neko Mukashi Banashi” is poised to become a must-watch for anime and manga enthusiasts alike.
