The official trailer for the much-awaited third season of the anime adaptation of SPY×FAMILY, based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo, premiered on a Tuesday. The release revealed the ending theme song, “Actor,” performed by Lilas Ikuta.
A major distributor announced that it would be broadcasting the new season across the globe outside of Asia, concurrent with Japan’s airings. Additionally, an English-subtitled trailer was made available for viewers.

The anime will kick off on October 4 at 11 p.m. on multiple channels including TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TV Kyushu. It will be aired on BS TV Tokyo the following day.
For the new season, episode director Yuki Imai from past seasons will lead the direction at Wit Studio and CloverWorks, stepping into the roles vacated by Furuhashi and Harada, the directors of the second season. Yuki Takeuchi and Tomomi Sugimoto will manage the art direction, while Keita Watanabe will oversee the CGI, and Rina Koguchi will edit the season.
Additionally, the cast and staff from previous seasons are expected to return.
The anime’s first half launched in April 2022, with the second half premiering in October of the same year. The second season then aired from October 2023, running for 12 episodes.
The film SPY×FAMILY Code: White debuted in December 2023 and gathered impressive viewership in its initial weekend. It featured an original narrative and opened in North America in April 2024.
Viz Media has been serializing Tatsuya Endo’s original manga in English, portraying the journey of master spy Twilight. Twilight’s assignment compels him to marry and adopt a child, bringing him into a whirlwind of unlikely alliances.
Shueisha publishes the manga on its MANGA Plus platform, making it accessible in English. Viz Media has also included it in their digital Shonen Jump subscription.
The manga has also led to a stage musical adaptation earlier in 2023, with another musical planned for later this year.
