The new track will replace the current ending theme, “Odore Dore Dora Doraemon Ondo,” which was performed by Doraemon’s voice actress, Wasabi Mizuta. This change comes as part of the ongoing efforts to keep the series vibrant and engaging for its audience.
The Doraemon anime recently debuted its first new opening theme song in five years, “Yume wo Kanaete Doraemon,” performed by Mao. This new opening theme, introduced in November 2024, has already garnered significant attention and praise from fans.
The Doraemon franchise, created by the legendary manga duo Fujiko Fujio, first appeared in 1969. Since then, it has inspired multiple television anime series, specials, and annual films, making it a staple in Japanese entertainment. The third series, which debuted in April 2005, features a new main voice cast and continues to captivate audiences.
Looking ahead, the 45th 2D anime film in the Doraemon series, “Eiga Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjล,” is set to hit Japanese theaters in 2026. This film is a remake of the classic 1983 movie “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil,” promising a nostalgic yet fresh experience for viewers.
The 44th film in the series, “Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Esekai Monogatari,” opened in Japan on March 7. This film, titled “Doraemon: Nobita’s Art World Tales,” continues the franchise’s tradition of delivering engaging and imaginative stories.
