The series is billed as a “cute x mystery” anime, following the adventures of Tomanto and friends as they solve intriguing mysteries using vegetable and fruit trivia. The name “Tomanto” is a clever play on the words “tomato” and “mantle,” referencing the iconic Inverness cape associated with Sherlock Holmes.
