Unveiling the Theme Song Artists for Princess Torture Season 2 Anime

The much-anticipated second season of “Tis Time for ‘Torture,’ Princess” is gearing up for its premiere, and fans are in for a treat with the announcement of the theme song artists. The official website for the anime revealed the exciting news on Monday.

The upcoming season will feature the South Korean girl group ILLIT performing the opening theme song. Their dynamic and captivating music is sure to set the tone for the thrilling adventures that await viewers. Meanwhile, the ending theme song will be performed by the talented Japanese singer-songwriter Yuika, whose melodic voice will provide a perfect conclusion to each episode.

The second season of “Tis Time for ‘Torture,’ Princess” is set to air on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Kansai TV in January 2026. For those eager to watch early, the series will also be available on ABEMA. Additionally, Crunchyroll will be streaming the new season in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, the Indian subcontinent, and Southeast Asia.

The anime series is based on the manga by Robinson Haruhara and Hirakei, which follows the harrowing tale of a princess subjected to relentless torment by the Hellhorde. The manga was first launched on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in Japan back in April 2019. The story has since gained a dedicated following, and its dark, intense narrative has captivated readers worldwide.

The first season of the anime premiered in January 2024 and consisted of 12 episodes. It was directed by Yōko Kanamori, known for her work on “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” and “Attack on Titan,” at the studio PINE JAM. The series scripts were handled by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who has also worked on notable projects like “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” and “Dropkick on My Devil!” Character designs were created by Toshiya Kōno and Satoshi Furuhashi, with Masaru Yokoyama composing the music.

The manga went on a brief hiatus in December 2024 to allow Haruhara to focus on their health but returned on December 31. The series concluded on August 19, with the 18th compiled book volume set to be released on November 4.
