The official YouTube channel for the anime film “Cosmic Princess Kaguya!” by director Shingo Yamashita released a music video for the song “Watashiha Watashinokotoga Suki” (“I like who I am”). The song is performed by Yรปko Natsuyoshi as Kaguya and composed by HoneyWorks.
The channel also posted a music video for the theme song “Ex-Otogibanashi” (“Ex-Fairy Tale”), performed by Saori Hayami as Yachiyo and composed by ryo (supercell).
Upcoming music videos by Vocaloid producers will stream on Fridays leading up to the film’s premiere. The schedule includes “Hoshi Furu Umi” (Starry Sea) by Aqu3ra on December 19, “Remember” by yuigot on December 26, and “Shunkan, Symphony.” (Moment, Symphony.) by 40mP. Additionally, kz (livetune) is composing the song “Reply,” though no music video is scheduled for it.
The single for “Ex-Otogibanashi” will be released on January 23. On the same day, “CPK! Remix,” a collection of remixes based on the film featuring songs by Nagi Yanagi and Hatsune Miku, will also be released.

Netflix will stream the film on January 22. The movie features a talented cast, including:

Director Shingo Yamashita, known for his work on “Pokรฉmon: Twilight Wings,” the opening animation for “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “Chainsaw Man,” and the 2022 “Urusei Yatsura,” is making his feature-length directorial debut. This project is a collaboration between his Studio Chromato and Studio Colorido. Hechima and Akihiro Nagae are designing the characters, with Hechima handling the Tsukuyomi designs and Nagae responsible for the real-world character designs.
The film features songs by Vocaloid producers ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot. Set in the virtual realm Tsukuyomi, the story is a modernized take on the Japanese legend “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.”
Additionally, the film is getting a manga adaptation by Tarล Yoneda, with the first two chapters launching in Kadokawa’s Comptiq magazine on January 9. A novel by author Naruto Kiriyama, with illustrations by Asao Urata, will be released on January 30. Yamashita is supervising both adaptations.
