The latest installment of Haruka Mitsui’s heartwarming series Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You (also known as Dōse, Koishite Shimaunda) has announced its approaching conclusion. Volume 12, released August 12, confirms the story has entered its final stages while celebrating over 1.7 million copies now in circulation worldwide.

Seventeen-year-old Mizuha faces the most disappointing birthday imaginable – forgotten by her father, rejected by her crush, and isolated by unexpected world events. When her childhood friend unexpectedly confesses, she must navigate shifting emotions during uncertain times. The narrative explores how young love perseveres despite social upheavals, following Mizuha’s circle as they discover romance can blossom even in difficult circumstances.

Originally debuting in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine in late 2020, the series has captivated readers globally. The English version’s ninth volume became available digitally last February, with a physical release scheduled for December.

This tender romance made its animated debut this January, with streaming platform Crunchyroll making the series available across multiple regions. An English-dubbed version followed shortly after its Japanese premiere. Fans can anticipate more developments when production returns with a second season scheduled for 2026.
