The manga adaptation will feature creative supervision from Yasukaze Motomiya, one of the lead actors from the original crime drama series. The show follows underworld narratives about ambitious individuals attempting to consolidate Japan’s criminal factions into a single powerful organization.
Also appearing in the same magazine issue will be two fresh manga titles: Bakugyaru by artist Akira Wao and Aoki Balkanalia by creator Sasakisa, expanding the publication’s diverse lineup.
Western fans may recognize Kawabata’s previous work Do You Like the Nerdy Nurse?, which received an English language release. The mangaka also previously adapted the Onmyōji, Abe no Seimei novel series, concluding its run last year after a successful four-year serialization.
