Koe no Furu Heya emerges from silence on July 28
Like a storm breaking summer’s calm, Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits revealed in its 34th issue that HERO – the mind behind Horimiya – will team with artist Takahashi Tsutsuji to birth Koe no Furu Heya (The Room of Fallen Voices) on July 28.
The manga pulls readers into life’s eerie echoes when an illustrator’s past returns as an unsettling message about a stalker.
Earlier this summer, HERO joined forces with Imaru Adachi for Terasu Hikari wa Ani no Omokage, a three-chapter story that blazed briefly in Weekly Big Comic Spirits’ pages.

Daisuke Hagiwara brought HERO’s original vision to life through the Horimiya manga in 2011, a decade-long dance that concluded in March 2021. Square Enix sealed this journey with volume 17 in July 2023, followed by Yen Press’ English version in October 2024.
The manga’s heartbeat spawned a 2021 anime that Funimation carried westward, with Crunchyroll later delivering Horimiya: The Missing Pieces in 2023 – thirteen episodes stitching together untold moments.
