A tale that began spinning its threads in April 2023

Square Enix‘s Manga UP! service dropped the climactic final trio of chapters for Makoto Kisaragi‘s workplace romance Kōhai-kun Dake ga Shitteiru this Wednesday.
The story follows Aoi Mizuhara, a 29-year-old office drone who mastered the art of invisible survival – until her coworkers brand her an ice queen. Just as her long-term relationship crumbles (her ex fleeing to “protect someone else”), she stumbles into a bar and finds temporary solace in a charming stranger’s company. Alcohol blurs the lines until morning reveals her one-night stand is actually her newest junior colleague.
Kisaragi first unleashed this cocktail of workplace awkwardness and romantic tension in Manga UP! during April 2023’s cherry blossom season. Square Enix bound these digital chapters into physical form by December 2023.
When not crafting office romances, Kisaragi adapts Ryūta Kijima and Sando‘s dungeon-crawling light novel series The Strongest Tank’s Labyrinth Raids. The manga’s 13th volume emerged on April 7, while both Square Enix‘s English Manga UP! and Comikey serve international fans. The story breached new frontiers as a January 2024 anime, with Crunchyroll broadcasting each episode.
