Manga UP! Global has unleashed Sōta Takahata‘s fiery adaptation of Ezogingitune‘s Cast-off Magic Tool Researcher is Actually an S-rank Mage (Hisentōshoku no Madōgu Kenkyūin, Jitsuwa Kikakugai no S-Rank Madōshi) onto the digital shelves.

Takahata first inked the manga for Square Enix‘s Manga UP! in November 2023, with Zenji Yotsuya weaving the narrative threads. The manga’s first volume hit Japan in September 2024; its sequel lands September 5.

The original web novel by Ezogingitune began its journey on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2021 and still thrives. SB Creative binds these tales into printed tomes, illustrated by Tomozero, with volume four released in February 2023.
