K MANGA has unleashed an English adaptation of Sei Soragami’s workplace tango Twenty and the Beast (Nijū to Seijū), as revealed in a fiery tweet storm on October 5, 2023. The manga paints the hilarious clash between fresh-faced office newbie Aya and her wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing junior Yamato Higa.
At 20, Aya finally gets her first mentee – except this 26-year-old “junior” turns the tables completely. While charming coworkers with sunshine smiles, Higa exclusively torments his trainer with alpha dominance. Now she can’t tell which is harder: meeting deadlines or resisting his calculated teasing.
First emerging from Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine in October 2022, the series has since multiplied into six printed volumes, with the latest hitting shelves on May 13.
Meanwhile, Soragami’s other project Idol Shikkaku continues its own ascent – this manga adaptation of Wakana Abe’s novel debuted in Kadokawa’s Comptiq in January 2024, already spawning two volumes by June 10.
