Pac-Man World 2 Gets ‘Re-Pac’ Remake Game – News

Game launches for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, PS4, Xbox, PC on September 26

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced in a new trailer during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on Thursday the Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac game, a remake of the original Pac-Man World 2 game with new features, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on September 26. The company later revealed that the game will also launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The new version of the game features modern graphics, expanded levels and Pac-Village, quality of life improvements, voice acting, 2-player co-op mode, landing targets, missions, costumes, and other features. The game is also getting a Deluxe Edition that includes collaboration stages, figures, and costumes.

The first 1999 Pac-Man World game got a remake worldwide in 2022 for Switch, PS4, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam titled Pac-Man World Re-Pac.

Namco Hometek released the original Pac-Man World 2 game for Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in North America in 2002. The game launched in Japan for PS2 in 2002. The game also got a release on PC in 2004, and a version for Game Boy Advance in 2005.

Shadow Labyrinth, a reimagining of Bandai Namco Entertainment‘s Pac-Man game, launched on July 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam.

The Secret Level adult animated anthology series from the LOVE, DEATH + ROBOTS creative team previously debuted a Pac-Man episode last December that showed a reimagining similar to Shadow Labyrinth.

Bandai Namco Entertainment‘s Pac-Man game franchise debuted with its original arcade game in 1980. The franchise inspired the Pac-World television anime series in 2013.
