Soccer Dreams Delayed, But the Field Expands
Level 5 kicked off Friday with a fresh gameplay trailer for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, revealing yet another pivot—its launch is now winding toward November 14. The holdup? A symphony of voices: 50,000+ lines from 250+ Japanese actors and the meticulous stitching of multilingual translations, including English. The extra months will also fine-tune gameplay tempo, defense mechanics, and UI clarity.
Chronicle Mode flexes its muscles in the preview, resurrecting classic showdowns like Raimon vs. Royal Academy. While English voices will be sparser than Japanese, every player gets a peace offering: exclusive Bond Town loot.
Initially eyeing an August 21 (English) / August 22 (Japanese) launch on Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam—and now adding Switch 2—the game has danced through delays since its 2018 debut as Ares no Tenbin. Mobile versions? Scrapped.
Fresh Plays, Old Legends
- Commander Mode: Trade reflexes for tactics, directing plays like a maestro.
- Abilearn Board: Reshape characters’ strengths like clay on a potter’s wheel.
- Bond Town: Craft your avatar and carve out a corner of this soccer universe.
At its heart, Unmei Sasanami—a boy fleeing soccer’s shadow—collides with Haru Endo’s passion, sparking a journey through 4,500+ series alumni.
Meanwhile, Inazuma Eleven RE, a remake of the OG game, warms up for a 2026 release on Switch, PS5, PS4, and Steam.
