Uoyama’s New Manga ‘Love’s in Sight!’ Launches on July 25

Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine dropped fireworks on July 11, announcing Uoyama’s new manga Kimi to Issho ni Kayoitai (I Want to Go to School With You) will launch in their July 25 issue with a vibrant color opener.

The creator shared a teaser glimpse on X/Twitter that same day, the digital equivalent of unfurling a treasure map:

Described as a story with “steel-strong bonds wrapped in tenderness,” the manga follows a protagonist whose entire world orbits a single burning wish.

This marks Uoyama’s rapid creative turnaround after concluding Kogure Kyōdai no Tomurai Kissa (Kogure Sister & Brother’s Requiem Cafe) on January 10, 2024. The cafe-themed drama saw its final volume served up by Shinchosha on May 9.

Fans still remember the bittersweet farewell to Uoyama’s breakout hit Love’s in Sight! (Yankee-kun to Hakujō Girl) in February 2022, whose eight-volume journey concluded under Kodansha’s banner. Viz Media continues sharing this love story internationally, with their eighth volume crossing shores in September 2024.
