Secret Saint TV Anime Unveils Main Staff and 2026 Release Date in New Video

Like a phoenix rising from ink and paper, the television adaptation of Touya and chibi’s A Tale of the Secret Saint light novels spread its wings at the Earth Star Novels festival. On Saturday, behind a veil of anticipation, the creators unveiled a teaser trailer, the 2026 release window, and the dream team bringing this celestial fantasy to life.

Tomoe Makino, the architect behind Aharen-san wa Hakarenai‘s whimsy, steers this reincarnated saint’s tale at Felix Film. Naoki Murata, a seasoned conductor of anime rhythms from Planet With, assists. The script dances under Deko Akao’s pen—her magic previously sparking in Komi Can’t Communicate. Satomi Kurita breathes soul into character designs, while Kenichiro Suehiro’s compositions—honed in the fires of Golden Kamuy—will score this odyssey. Ryōsuke Naya, sound wizard of Spy Classroom, completes the symphony.

Touya first scribbled this story onto Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2019. By June that year, Earth Star Entertainment bound it into volumes with chibi’s art.

The novels blazed through rankings—securing second place in both Tankōbon and Novel categories in Takarajimasha’s 2025 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook, mirroring their 2024 triumph.

Mahito Aobe began adapting the tale into manga in November 2019 on Comic Earth Star—where Shiina later wove the prequel A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO starting October 2023.

Over 3.5 million copies now orbit this celestial saga.
