Titan Manga unleashed a whirlwind trailer for Paru Itagaki‘s haunting SANDA manga this Wednesday:
Titan Manga fires the starting pistol for Paru Itagaki‘s SANDA in English on September 9, one week later than originally announced. Volume 2 hits shelves November 18. Pre-orders are live at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, and Forbidden Planet.

Titan Manga paints the world of the first volume:
Japan’s future is a ghost of itself—Christmas forgotten, children now rare jewels in a society stretching adolescence like taffy. The lost holiday exists only in whispers.
When average student Sanda Kazushige gets branded with a phantom curse by classmate Fuyumura Shiori, their hunt for missing friend Ono Ichie unravels into a labyrinth of danger and forgotten magic. The deeper they plunge, the more the echoes of Christmas begin whispering truths about loyalty, courage, and the sparks of belief that refuse to die.
Itagaki first set SANDA loose in Akita Shoten‘s Weekly Shōnen Champion back in July 2021, with the final chapter closing the curtains in July 2024. The story’s last voyage, volume 16, docked in Japan last October. Meanwhile, Science SARU prepares to bring this eerie tale to life in an October 3 TV anime premiere.
Itagaki first carved her name into the manga world with BEASTARS in September 2016—a wild ride that reached its conclusion in October 2020, with Akita Shoten sealing the story in its 22nd volume by January 2021. Viz Media brought the beastly drama westward.
The BEASTARS anime first roared onto Netflix and Fuji TV‘s [+Ultra] block in October 2019, with Netflix launching globally in March 2020. Season 2 stalked screens January 2021, and its final season struck December 5, 2024—split into two halves, with the latter prowling for 2026.
