REMOW will deliver the anime, with Yanmar Holdings at the helm. The anime first aired on MBS on April 2, followed by Tokyo MX on April 3. **V.W.P**, the virtual singer group, contributed the opening theme song, “AI=UTA,” while MIYAVI took the reins for the ending theme, “Find A Way.”

Yamar Holdings provided background on the series: In the not-so-distant future, humans develop MIRU, a robot designed to journey through time. Unlike other robots, MIRU steers clear of violence, instead devoting itself to aiding humans in overcoming imposing challenges. By engaging with people and nurturing emotional connections, MIRU spawns far-reaching, positive effects, reshaping society for the better.

The aggregate series comprises five episodes, each crafted with unique storylines and casts. The first episode, “Stardust Memory,” follows space janitor Yoshimura and his new trainee Umi, who unexpectedly encounter a risky situation. In the second, “The King of the Forest,” tour guide Mario stumbles on an illegal mining operation in his transformed childhood tropical rainforest. “Londonderry Air” introduces aspiring pianist Ame, who lands an AI demonstration project opportunity after her street performances catch attention. The fourth installment, “Re: Miru,” zooms in on diplomat Toshi, who fights despair after negotiations break down. Lastly, “Wait, I’ll Be There” depicts a post-apocalyptic world where Airu and her pet Pochimaru spread hope with the help of a mysterious boy from the future.

Each episode features a distinct production team, with renowned voice actor Maaya Sakamoto lending her talents to an intriguing girl character in the series’ prologue.

Miru is not just an anime but a leap into the future of human-robot interactions. Can MIRU save our world from a bleak fate?
