KUMA, a publisher specializing in boys’ love titles, revealed plans to distribute an English version of Nemui Asada’s Takatora and the Omegas during its Anime NYC event presentation. The series, originally titled Takatora-kun to Omega-tachi, follows the dramatic shift in fortunes for its aristocratic protagonist.
The story initially ran in Printemps Publishing’s Canna magazine, with its second collected volume seeing release in Japan during summer 2023. Set in an exclusive academy for privileged youth, the narrative revolves around Takatora, a top-tier alpha suddenly experiencing physiological changes that reveal his omega traits.
Asada’s creative portfolio includes Loved Circus, another BL work that completed serialization in 2015 and eventually reached English readers through Tokyopop. Currently, the artist is working on Yoi with Mottled Skin, which debuted digitally via Shogakukan’s Manga ONE platform.
International audiences gained access to Asada’s Admonition from an Elder Brother when Manga Planet incorporated it into their specialized BL category in mid-2023. This expansion forms part of their growing collection of translated manga titles.
