The anime’s first episode had its world premiere at Anime Expo on July 3, giving a sneak peek into the charming story of Kashiwada and Oota. The duo’s dynamic is set to enchant viewers with its blend of humor and heartfelt moments.
Helming the project, Tomohiro Kamitani returns after notable works in “MIX Season 2” and “Katana Maidens – Tomoshibi.” The series scripts are overseen by the seasoned Michiko Yokote, known for her work in “Shirobako” and “Prison School.” Additionally, Naoto Nakamura is the character designer and chief animation director, with a rich background in “A Certain Magical Index II.” The music will be composed by Yukari Hashimoto from “Mr. Osomatsu” and Tetsuya Shitara from “Matsuinu.”
BookWalker Global and MangaPlaza will both bring the manga to English-speaking audiences. The storylines encapsulate the quirky yet endearing relationship between Kashiwada, a girl who rarely shows emotions, and Oota, who is always full of surprises. Despite their differences, they share a unique bond that classmates cannot help but love, making this a heart-warming love comedy set in an ordinary junior high school.
The manga, originally launched on Kadokawa’s Dra Dra Sharp site in July 2018, has completed its tenth and final volume published in July 2023.
