The countdown is on! Get ready for the much-anticipated debut of “Dusk Beyond the World” with its special episode, “episode 0.”
Excitement grows as the new promotional video for the upcoming anime “Dusk Beyond the World” has hit the global stage. The clip unveils more about the series and opens the curtains on the ending theme performed by the singer Hana Hope. The song “Two Of Us” is set to be an integral part of the show’s emotional landscape.
For the fans in the United States, a special treat is in store. The world premiere screening of the first two episodes recently took place at Anime NYC on the 24th of August.
Fans can expect to dive into a post-apocalyptic world where technology and society have greatly advanced. The anime’s protagonist, Akira, emerges from 200 years of stasis with expecting to find his girlfriend, Towasa, alive in a new world. He sets out on a quest alongside the android Yugure, who eerily resembles Towasa, to discover the truth. Together, they navigate a world reshaped by war and led by OWEL, a unified governance overseeing a new societal framework known as “Elsie” or “LC.” Here, marriage is replaced by this modern system.
The upcoming series boasts an impressive roster of talent:
*The director, Naokatsu Tsuda, renowned for his work on titles such as “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”, the animation incudes orchestration under the supervision of Midori Tayama and the elegant visual designs of Yoshiko Saitō. Adaptation of these gracious animations is headlined by Masahiro Tokuda, noted for his original scores in “Ishura” and “Platinum End.”
Additionally, the production team ensures consistent updates through their commitment to high-quality animation, with notable landmarks in their craft evident in their past works such as “The Darwin Incident” and “planetarian.” The launch of the opening theme, “Platform,” performed by Uru, sets the stage for an unforgettable viewing experience.
The anime’s debut episode will air on two major channels—MBS and TBS—starting September 25, 2025. Fans can catch the showing at 24:26 JST on the “Super Animeism Turbo” programming block.
