Gnosia TV Anime Premiering October 11: Songs and Themes Unveiled

Revealed: Gnosia TV Anime’s Premiere Date and Theme Songs for October 11 Launch

Unveiled: Gnosia TV Anime to Launch October 11 with Exclusive Theme Songs

Aniplex recently hosted its annual Online Fest event, where they unveiled a captivating promotional video and shared exciting news about the upcoming television anime adaptation of the hit sci-fi social deduction RPG, Gnosia. Developed by the innovative game studio Petit Depotto, the anime is set to premiere on October 11.

An enhanced glimpse into the series features MAISONdes performing the opening theme song, titled “Bake no Kawa feat. Kobo Kanaeru, Kasane Teto, Giga & Teddyloid.” For the closing credits, the indie band Ling Tosite Sigure takes the reins with their track “Loo% Who%.” Fans were treated to a sneak peek of both themes in the newly released trailer.

Set to air on multiple networks, including Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, TV Aichi, MBS, and AT-X, the anime will be easily accessible to fans across Japan. Streaming services such as ABEMA and d Anime Store will also provide convenient viewing options for viewers at home.

To build anticipation, a stunning key visual was shared, highlighted by its detailed character designs and an atmosphere that promises an unforgettable viewing experience. As shown below:

The main voice cast includes professional actors and actresses lending their talents to bring these characters to life. Notably, Kukrushka is the sole character designated as “no voice.”

The directorial duties will be managed by Kazuya Ichikawa, an experienced director known for his excellent work in shows like Burning Kabaddi and The World Ends with You the Animation. Head writer Jukki Hanada, famous for his contributions to the Love Live! franchise and Sound! Euphonium, is overseeing the scriptwriting. Arisa Matsuura, known for Romantic Killer, will translate the original character designs of KOTORI into animations. Composing the mesmerizing score will be Hideyuki Fukasawa, with impressive credits in Flowers of Evil and Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works.

The video game that inspired the anime was initially launched in Japan for the PlayStation Vita in 2019. It was later ported to the Nintendo Switch the following year, and Playism released it digitally in North America. Playism’s description of the game paints a vivid and tense narrative.

Let’s walk and talk. Can you get up?

The Gnosia lie. Pretending to be human, they’ll get in close, trick and deceive, and then eradicate each person in the vicinity from the universe, one victim at a time.

The crew of a drifting spaceship, facing off against a mysterious and deadly threat known as the “Gnosia” and having no idea who among them is really the enemy, formulate a desperate plan for survival. The most suspicious among them will be put into “cold sleep” one by one, in an effort to completely rid the ship of Gnosia.

However, it is almost impossible to tell whether each person put into cold sleep was really Gnosia—or simply a poor, unfortunate scapegoat, sacrificed by the Gnosia for their own survival. Can the humans emerge victorious? Or is mankind doomed…?

Gnosia was then launched for the PC via Steam in January 2022, followed by major console platforms worldwide including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in December 2023.

With such meticulous planning and a talented lineup, this anime adaptation of Gnosia is sure to captivate fans of both the original game and new viewers alike. Stay tuned for more updates as October 11 draws near.
