Exciting News for Fans: “Reborn as a Vending Machine” to Return for a Third Season
The anime adaptation of Hirukuma’s light novel series, “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon,” has officially announced its third season. This news was revealed on Wednesday, much to the delight of fans who have been eagerly anticipating more adventures from the unique series.

The second season of the anime premiered on July 2 and concluded its 12-episode run on Wednesday. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired and is also currently streaming an English dub.
For the second season, Takashi Yamamoto took over as director, replacing Noriaki Akitaya at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Tatsuya Takahashi returned to oversee the series scripts, while Takahiro Sakai adapted Yลซki Hagure’s original designs for animation. Naoki Yamauchi, who served as the chief animation director for the first season, also designed the characters for the second season.
BRADIO performed the opening theme song “Mirai Cider” (Future Cider), and Aina Aiba sang the ending theme song “Boku Dake no Chiheisen” (A Horizon Only for Me).
The first season of the anime debuted in July 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan and also offers an English dub.
Yen Press published all three volumes of the light novels in English. The story follows a middle-aged man who, after a tragic accident, is reborn as a vending machine in a monster-infested dungeon. The narrative explores his unique challenges and adventures in this new form.
Hirukuma began serializing the story on the Shลsetsuka ni Narล website in March 2016 and concluded it in December of that year, with epilogue stories serialized in January to February 2017. Kadokawa’s Sneaker Bunko published the novels in print editions with illustrations by Itsuwa Katล, beginning with the first volume in July 2016. The third and final volume was released in February 2017.
Kunieda launched an ongoing manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in August 2021. Yen Press is releasing the manga digitally at the same time as chapters debut in Japan.
