The second season concluded its run on Thursday, leaving viewers eager for more. The season kicked off on July 3, airing on MBS and TBS within the “Super Animeism Turbo” programming block. Streaming services Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu have been broadcasting the series, making it accessible to a global audience.

Directing the new season are Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora, both of whom contributed as storyboarders and unit directors in the first season. The production is handled by Science SARU, and the returning cast includes Mutsumi Tamura, who voices the character Evil Eye (Jashi).

The opening theme song for the second season, “Kakumei Dōchū” (On the Way), is performed by Aina The End, while the ending theme, “Dōkashiteru” (Something’s Wrong with Them), is by WurtS.

GKIDS premiered the first three episodes of the second season in North America on June 6, with the film screening in 1,085 theaters and earning an estimated $3,096,000 in its opening weekend. The theatrical release also hit Asian markets outside of Japan on May 30 and European theaters on June 7.

The first season of “DAN DA DAN” debuted in Japan in October 2024 on TBS and MBS’s Super Animeism TURBO programming block. The season, consisting of 12 episodes, was streamed worldwide by Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu.

“DAN DA DAN” follows the story of Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast. Their differing beliefs about the supernatural lead them on separate adventures that reveal hidden powers and paranormal encounters, setting the stage for a romantic journey.

The manga, serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service, is published in English by Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service.
