Exclusive Streaming: A Star Brighter Than the Sun Anime Hits Amazon Prime Video
The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara’s manga, A Star Brighter Than the Sun, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming service will make the series available globally starting October 3 at 12:56 a.m. JST.
The anime will debut on October 2 at 11:56 p.m. on the TBS channel and its affiliates. Fans got a sneak peek of the anime at Anime Expo, where it had its world premiere in July.
The anime features a talented cast and crew:
- Aya Kobayashi, known for her work on Vinland Saga, SpyรFamily, and Negative Positive Angler, is directing the series at Studio KAI.
- Yasuhiro Nakanishi, who has worked on Chained Soldier and Kaguya-sama: Love is War, is handling the series scripts.
- Jin Feng Zeng is responsible for character design.
- Natsumi Tabuchi and Miki Sakurai are composing the music.
Motohiro Hata will perform the opening theme song, “Stellar Days,” while Wanuka will sing the ending theme, “Saishin-wa” (Latest Episode).
Viz Media has already released the first two volumes of the manga in English, with the first volume hitting shelves on March 4 and the third volume on September 2. The first volume introduces readers to Sae and Koki, childhood friends who navigate the complexities of high school and budding romantic feelings.
Kazune Kawahara, known for her works My Love Story!!, High School Debut, and Aozora Yell, launched the manga in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine in June 2021. The 12th compiled book volume was shipped on August 25.
The anime promises to be a captivating adaptation, bringing the heartwarming and dramatic elements of the manga to life. Fans can look forward to an engaging story filled with romance and self-discovery.
