Dusk Beyond the End of the World: A New Anime Adventure
Fans of anime are in for a treat as the highly anticipated “Dusk Beyond the End of the World,” also known as “Towa no Yugure,” is set to debut soon. The official website for this original television series has revealed exciting details about the upcoming release.
The series’ prologue, titled “episode 0,” is currently streaming for free on YouTube until October 2. This introductory episode sets the stage for the main series, which is scheduled to premiere on October 2.

The anime aired its prologue story on September 25 at 24:26 JST (effectively, September 26 at 12:26 a.m. JST) on MBS and TBS’s “Super Animeism Turbo” programming block. The first episode of the series will follow the same timeslot on October 2.
The story of “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” revolves around Akira, a high school student who wakes up from cold sleep 200 years into the future. The world he knew has been ravaged by war, and a new unified organization called OWEL now leads the people. A new system called “Elsie” (or “LC”) has replaced traditional marriage. Upon waking, Akira encounters an android named Yugure, who bears a striking resemblance to his girlfriend, Towasa. Yugure immediately proposes marriage to a bewildered Akira, leading him on a journey to find Towasa in this transformed world.
The anime will be available on more than 20 streaming services in Japan starting on September 25 at 24:56 (effectively September 26 at 12:56 a.m.). HIDIVE will exclusively stream the series and screened the world premiere of the anime’s first two episodes at this year’s Anime NYC event on August 24.
“Project FT” is credited for the original work. Naokatsu Tsuda, known for his work on “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure,” “planetarian,” and “The Darwin Incident,” is directing the anime at P.A. Works and overseeing the series scripts. Manga creator Midori Tayama, known for “Girl Crush,” is the original character designer, while Yoshiko Saito, known for “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II,” is adapting those designs for animation. Masahiro Tokuda, known for “Ishura” and “Platinum End,” is composing the music. Uru performs the opening theme song “Platform,” and Hana Hope performs the ending theme song “Two Of Us.”
The anime is set to captivate audiences with its unique storyline and stunning animation, making it a must-watch for anime enthusiasts.
