Fans of the beloved series To Your Eternity are in for a treat as the third season is set to premiere on October 4. The announcement was made by Crunchyroll, which will also begin streaming the English dub of the television anime adaptation of Yoshitoki Oima’s manga.

The third season will feature a returning cast and crew, ensuring continuity and familiarity for longtime viewers. Kirstie Simone will direct the English dub, with Rita Majkut producing. Gavin Cooper Harrison will adapt the English script, while Mark Ettel will handle the mixing and David Walsh will be the engineer. The season will debut on NHK’s General channel and will be available on Crunchyroll for global audiences.

Sota Yokote, known for his work on series like Bye Bye, Earth, The Detective Is Already Dead, Insomniacs After School, and Komi Can’t Communicate, will make his directorial debut with this season. He will be working with Drive and STUDIO MASSKET. Kiyoko Sayama, who directed the second season, will serve as the chief director. Other returning staff include Shinzo Fujita for series scripts, Koji Yabuno for character design, Ryo Kawasaki for music composition, and Takeshi Takadera for sound direction. The opening theme song, “Fumetsu no Anata” (Your Eternity), will be performed by Perfume.

The third season continues the “This World” arc, picking up where the second season left off. The second season premiered on NHK Educational in October 2022, with Crunchyroll streaming it worldwide except in Asia. The first season debuted on NHK Educational in April 2021, after being delayed from its original October 2020 premiere due to COVID-19.

Yoshitoki Oima launched the manga in November 2016 in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series concluded in the 27th issue of the magazine this year on June 4. The manga’s final compiled book volume was released in Japan on August 12. Kodansha USA Publishing has been publishing the manga in English, describing it as a unique and moving story about death, life, reincarnation, and the nature of love. The manga won the Best Shonen Manga award at the 43rd annual Kodansha Manga Awards and was recognized by the American Library Association’s YALSA for its impact on young adult literature.
